Pillar 02 / Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity.Stronger protection.
Less uncertainty.

Your business depends on people, devices, email and cloud services working safely together. One weak point can expose the rest.

NEX GEN IT Solutions helps you identify security gaps, put appropriate protection in place and manage the controls your business relies on.

Layered protection

Security needs more than antivirus.

An antivirus licence cannot cover every risk. Stolen passwords, convincing scam emails, unsafe websites and unapproved applications all need attention.

We help you build layers of protection around your business, with clear responsibilities for what is managed and how issues are handled.

Protection across your business

Cover the places where risks begin.

Computers and servers

Help detect malicious software and suspicious activity on supported devices. Endpoint protection and response tools support investigation and containment when threats are identified.

Email and domain protection

Reduce exposure to spam, phishing and malicious email. Email authentication helps protect your domain against impersonation and gives you visibility into who is sending email using your name.

User accounts and access

Strengthen sign-in security with multifactor authentication, appropriate access permissions and reviews of your Microsoft 365 security settings.

Applications and internet access

Restrict unauthorised software and connections to known harmful websites. Application control and web filtering help reduce opportunities for attacks.

Employee awareness

Help your team recognise suspicious messages and make safer decisions through security awareness training and phishing simulations.

Security reviews and priorities

Identify gaps in your current protection and prioritise improvements around your business needs, existing systems and budget.

Accountability

Managed protection with clear responsibilities.

Security tools need ongoing attention. Depending on your agreed service, we help maintain protection, review alerts, investigate suspicious activity and coordinate the next steps.

Before the service starts, we agree:

  • Which users, devices and services are covered.
  • Monitoring and support hours.
  • Alert review and response responsibilities.
  • Actions we are authorised to take.
  • When an issue must be escalated.
  • Which recovery, project or specialist services cost extra.

You know what is covered and who takes responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Understand your protection.

Is cybersecurity included with Managed Devices?

Managed Devices focuses on device monitoring, maintenance and support. Any included baseline antivirus must be specified in your agreement. Additional cybersecurity services are scoped separately.

Can you work with our existing security tools?

We assess what you already use and whether we can support it effectively. We may recommend retaining, reconfiguring or replacing tools where appropriate.

Do we need every security service?

Your requirements depend on your business, information, systems and existing protection. We recommend a suitable combination and explain the priorities.

Does this include 24/7 monitoring and response?

Only where explicitly included in your agreement. Monitoring hours, alert handling and response arrangements are confirmed before the service starts.

Are backups included?

Backups are provided through Backup & Business Continuity and must be included separately in your agreed solution.

Will this make our business compliant?

Technical controls can support your compliance efforts. Compliance also depends on your policies, processes, people and how information is handled. We do not promise compliance through software alone.

Can you prevent every cyberattack?

No. Layered protection helps reduce risk and improve your ability to detect and respond to threats, but no service can eliminate every attack.
